TQ Alternative Investments hosted the third edition of THE OPEN Barcelona Friendly Padel Tournament in Sant Cugat del Vallès, an event that once again brought together high-level sport, networking, and business connections in an exclusive setting.

The event, organized in conjunction with Corporación Financiera Azuaga and with the collaboration of GOAT Sports Management, took place at the Augusta Padel Club and featured 32 players and over 50 professionals from various sectors, culminating in an exhibition final alongside athletes from the professional circuit.

Our sponsored players—Alejandra Salazar, Claudia Fernández, Jairo Bautista, and Iago Fuertes—were present, contributing a high level of competition and a friendly experience for all attendees. The tournament was also held the day after Claudia Fernández was crowned champion at the Premier Padel Circuit final in Barcelona, a victory that heightened the interest and competitive spirit of the event.

The tournament format allowed participants to compete in a preliminary round, where the two pairs with the most games won earned the privilege of playing an exhibition final alongside the guest stars.

Beyond the competition, the event included an exclusive raffle and a closing cocktail reception, designed to foster connections among attendees in a relaxed atmosphere. The athletes’ approachability and engagement with the public added value to a day designed to generate synergies between the business and sports worlds.

A well-established event with significant media coverage.

With this third edition, THE OPEN Barcelona has solidified its position as an event that blends professional sport and business networking in a close-knit and exclusive atmosphere, bringing this year’s tournaments to a close and completing its tour of all the cities where we have offices.

The event’s impact has also been reflected in the media, with coverage in a Vanguardia, Diario SPORT and RAC1, all of which have highlighted a day that demonstrates how padel can become a point of connection between different sectors.
